A card from the collection of the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum dated 1773 describes how Mitchener has moved from the Parade and is now situated next to Hall's Circulating Library.
At the bottom of the advertisement Mitchener includes Masonic symbols, giving his credentials to those in the know.Mitchener also owned the York Hotel on the Marine Parade.
