Guillaume Dupre (1574 - 1643), was a French sculptor and medallist, in particular for Henry IV. Dupre's success was confirmed when in 1611 he was awarded the title Premier Sculpteur du Roi. During his career he engraved medals for Henri IV, Louis XIII and the beginning of the reign of Louis XIV. He died in Paris in 1643.
The Keller brothers took over the business of Dupre at the Arsenal and made copies later in the 17th century.Johann Balthasar Keller was a celebrated founder and at the invitation of his brother who was already in the service of Louis XIV, he moved to Paris. "Les Keller" were according to Forrer recognised in their day as the most important artistic founders in France.
