The obverse image is taken from a coin of Augustus. The reverse alludes to Anson's four year circumnavigation of the World, listing his fellow officers. After many trials and tribulations finally capturing the Spanish galleon, the Nuestra Senora de Codadonga with treasure exceeding £300,000. His ship being the Centurion.
