A similar medal in the British Museum Collection is described by tem accordingly- "Hennin describes in his catalogue that this medal was probably struck during the intervening time between the signing of the treaty of Camp Formio (17 Oct 1797) and Napoleon's departure on the Egyptian Exhibition (18 May 1798)."
