Death of Charles I and Memorial, silver gilt medal, 1649, bust of Charles I with long hair and lace collar, with lion's head on shoulder and two roses over his head, SUCCESSOR VERUS UTRIUSQUE (THE TRUE SUCCESSOR OF EACH), rev. hammer striking a diamond upon an anvil, INEXPUGNABILIS. 1648 (UNCONQUERABLE), 42 mm (MI 340/187, Platt 1 type A), with integral loop for suspension. Cast and chased; slightly rubbed on the high points, otherwise good very fine and extremely rare. £Sold
