Prisoner of War Work, Pornographic Toy
Clive. L. Lloyd in his book "The Arts and Crafts of Napoleonic and American Prisoners of War - 1756- 1816,"
shows another example of this work made of wood. He states that his figure (again cut off at the legs) a Dartmoor countrywoman wearing a skirt which lifts up is a rarity because troops were sent into the prisons to break up the workbench of anyone producing these items.
