Matthew Boulton, silvered bronze portrait, circa 1830, after Peter Rouw, bare head portrait with hair tied back right, 230 x 220 mm, contained in original frame. The surfaces slightly rubbed in places, otherwise good very fine. £225.00
This is the same portrait as that used by Sir Edward Thomason's factory for the death medal by Peter Wyon, taken from the wax by Peter Rouw, issued in 1809.
