MDCCLX1, (FOR HIS REJOICING COUNTRY CROWNED 22 SEPTEMBER 1761). 34 mm, (BHM. 23). A small gauge to the right of the bust and a knick on the edge on the obverse, very fine. £185.00

Eight hundred of these medals were distributed on Coronation Day. The Gentleman's Magazine for 1761 records that the Treasurer of the Household threw the medals amongst the congregation during the Homage.
