Bowman, crowned laureate draped head of Victoria left with legend around, rev. coat of arms of the South Eastern Railway above a portrait of E. W. Watkin, Chairman, with panel inscribed, Jno. Pennell, 31 x 37 mm (BHM 3224), with mount and loop for suspension. Extremely fine. £Sold
Sir Edward William Watkin (1819-1901), railway promoter, Chairman of the South Eastern Railway. In 1861 he advocated the construction of a railway tunnel between Dover and Calais.
