Death of Francis Horner
Francis Horner,(1778-1814). political economist who studied at Edinburgh. He was called to the Scottish bar in 1800 and joined the English bar in 1807. he entered Parliament as the M.P. for St. Ives in 1806 and later sat for Wendover and St. Mawes. He died of consumption at Pisa in 1817.
In 1802, Horner was one of the founders of the Edinburgh Review, to which he contributed various articles.
