Penrith, Queen Elizabeth, Free Grammar School
William Blaemire of Gray's Inn, London, became a Governor in 1798 and donated an additional £2 above the £6 that he annually gave to provide three prizes. One of these was a silver medal for the student who produced the best Latin verse or theme.
The recipient was Frederick Wilson of Penrith.
