Victories of Queen Anne over Louis XIV, silver medal, 1706, by P. H. Muller, Anne, as Minerva, subdues Louis XIV armed as a Roman warrior, rev. Victory advancing left behind a military trophy inscribed, with border of twelve shields inscribed with the names of various cities, with letterd edge, 43 mm(M. I. 288/97). The medal satarizes Louis describing him as Magnus whilst pointing out that he has been beaten by a woman. At the same time the medal alludes to the fact that Englands success has not been without divine intervention.
