Napoleon Boneparte, First Consul, portrait print, 1802, after Isabey, uniformed bare head bust of Boneparte profile right, BONEPARTE 1R. CL. rev. trade label of Jones / Carver, Gilder, Gasss and/ Picture Frame Maker/ Chancery Lane/London inscribed around, This is the best likeness of Nap. Boneparte Consul which I bought at Paris in 1802/ during the short existing Truce of Amiens. N, 150 x 150 mm. The trade label somewhat torn in places otherwise good very fine. £Sold
The initial N at the end of the inscription is later noted underneath as John , Second Lord Northwick. There is a further nate which states "From the Spencer Churchill Collection." The two families were related through marriage and the contents of Northwick Park were sold by auction in the nineteenth Century
